This product is an electric underfloor local space heater that fulfils the Regulation (EU) 2024/1103. The mandatory information and conditions for its installation are available through the link within the EcoDesign logo.

The heating cable, or radiant wire, is supplied in coil format, already connected to its cold tail (power supply cable). The same heating cable can also be provided as a heating mat, where it is pre-attached to a fiberglass mesh to simplify installation.

For underfloor heating installations (both residential and commercial), we have developed the ADPSZV cable, a double conductor heating cable with helical shielding.

Most heating cables or radiant wires are resistance cables. Their core consists of an electrical resistor with a constant linear resistance value that heats up as electric current flows through it.

For each application, specific cable ranges have been designed in which the type of resistance and the cable length are adjusted to achieve a defined linear power output (power per meter of cable), ensuring the appropriate amount of heat and temperature. For this reason, they are sold only as pre-assembled elements, already connected to a power lead with a predefined output and length. Heating cables cannot be shortened after manufacturing, as this would reduce the total resistance, increase the linear power output, and expose the cable and the installation to dangerously high temperatures.

Our cables are double conductor (two resistors in parallel), with the circuit factory-sealed at one end of the heating element. At the other end, a single cold tail is connected to the junction box, greatly simplifying installation.

The heating cable / radiant wire is made up of multiple layers, ensuring proper insulation of the resistors and providing the characteristics required for each application, in accordance with international standards. For installations in humid environments (bathrooms, kitchens) or outdoor areas, a full-length electrical shield is mandatory. This shield must cover the entire circumference of the cable and be connected to the ground, offering maximum safety for the user.

For all applications, a specific heating requirement can be defined to achieve the desired comfort and temperature, depending on the environment. In underfloor heating systems, this is expressed as installed power per square meter. Depending on the type of room, climate, and building insulation, a power range between 60 and 150 W/m² is typically considered.
Each surface power value can be achieved by adjusting the length of the cable according to its linear power output (power per meter of cable), with different linear power ranges available (e.g., 10 W/m, 17.9 W/m, etc.) depending on the cable type.

When the installation is placed directly beneath the floor covering, it is advisable to use a longer cable with lower linear power to allow for tighter spacing between loops (~8 cm), helping to avoid cold spots.
In semi-accumulation setups (cable embedded in 3–4 cm of cement) or accumulation systems (cable embedded in the concrete structure), the cable loops can be spaced farther apart and a higher linear power rating can be used.
Conversely, a single cable can provide different surface power outputs depending on the loop spacing, as the same total power is distributed over a larger or smaller area. This same flexibility can be applied within a single room, by varying the cable spacing in different zones to distribute heat unevenly according to each area’s specific needs.
